simple, on purpose
Craftwork is Phil — third-generation carpenter, 25 years in the trade, building custom homes in Picture Butte. The kind of guy who calls "thoughtful layout" and "actually nice finishes" the standard, while every other builder calls them upgrades and charges you extra. He builds houses he'd want to live in. (I've lived in a few of them. They're stupid good. The square footage is small and somehow you never feel it — the flow just works. I don't fully know how he does it and I'm married to him.)
Here's the thing he came to me with: nothing, really. No website, nowhere to send people, no way for someone to drive past the sign and figure out who he is before they're standing in the kitchen. Around here there's no shortage of guys slapping up a house to make a buck. Phil is not that. But you can't tell that from a road sign.
So we kept it simple, because his work doesn't need dressing up — it needs to be seen clearly. Clean branding (it doesn't have to be complicated, you guys), a site that feels the way his homes feel, and copy that sounds like a man who'd genuinely rather show you the dovetail joint than talk about it.
Anyways. Now he's got a place to send people. And it looks like what he actually builds.
