How I’m using Chat GPT in my business in 2025
Is there any chance that you’re making things more complicated than they need to be in your business? (Um, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me too.)
We tell ourselves that we can’t hit publish on our marketing content till everything is perfect. We can’t launch the offer till we have every single detail meticulously planned out. I get it.
When I first ran across Chat GPT and other AI apps, I was… intrigued. And a bit scared.
Once I started using AI, I cringed HARD. But I stuck with it, because I know that it’s a skill – just like working a spreadsheet or wrapping your hair in a towel. (Tell me it’s not just me that had a realllllyyyyyy hard time figuring that out!)
Chat GPT can feel scary, because you think it’s out to replace YOU. But it really is just like any other skill. Anybody can type in “write me 6 blog posts about clay frogs” – but it’s going to come out with garbage.
Once you figure out how to run it? MAGIC.
AI is a powerful tool that can be used to automate your tasks, help make decisions, and boost your creativity.

My go-to alternative to Chat GPT
My personal favourite AI tool actually isn’t Chat GPT – it’s Google Gemini. (Free, pretty, easy to get started with – the trifecta. I only wish I could search my past chats!)
Whatever you prefer, here’s how you can put AI to work in your business:
Where you can use AI
Blog Posts
Chat GPT / Google Gemini save me so much time in the content creation process. I use it to brainstorm ideas, outline blog posts, and edit my drafts. I provide the key points, I define the tone, and AI fills in the gaps.
I also love using AI tools to edit my text – make it more concise, adjust it for clarity, or change the length.
(And then, of course, we’ll manually proofread everything 17 more times JUST TO MAKE SURE. But it saves a ton of time.)
Emails
There’s never an email that can’t be improved – so if I’m worried about sending a particular email, I’ll pop it into Chat GPT or Gemini for a quick once-over. It helps me write clear, concise, and friendly messages that don’t make me look like a fool!
Keeping track of ideas
I actually use AI to keep track of ideas. When I’m feeling inspired, I’ll drop my notes into a chat, say “just making some quick notes for later, no need to respond.”
Rename that chat, pin it, and you can start off right where you left off when you have time to flesh out that idea.
Recording calls + COACHING!
You’re brilliant and you say brilliant things, and a lot of times we can’t take notes quick enough – which is why recorded calls with transcripts are so great!
We love read.ai – not only do you get a call recording and the transcription, but it also gives you feedback on your body language, your actual language, and a million other things. (If you’ve ever joined or thought about joining Toastmasters to get rid of those um’s and ah’s, get this immediately! So very helpful!)
Tips for getting started with AI
- Don’t dive headfirst into the deep end. Start by picking a small, manageable area of your business to experiment with AI.
- Play! Having fun with it is the best way to learn. Try different tools and techniques to see what works best for you.
- AI is a pro at tasks that are boring, repetitive, or require a lot of brainpower. Let it handle those, so you can focus on the fun stuff.
Remember: Chat GPT / Google Gemini aren’t a magic wand that will solve all your problems. But they’re great tools to help you streamline your business, reduce stress, and knock your goals out of the park!
Dead giveaways that you’ve used AI
That’s right, we’re on to you. 😂 Here’s how you can tell if you’re stumbling across AI-generated content:
- Ever noticed a piece of content that feels a little too perfect? Or maybe it’s just so generic it could have been written by a robot? It probably was. We shouldn’t be able to tell where you leave off and the robot jumps in.

- Your content starts with a question like, “Tired of ___?” “Ready to supercharge ___?” “Struggling to ___?” AI seems to think that this is a strong hook, but when you eliminate the question and copy + paste the rest of the paragraph, it’ll be stronger.

When you’re working on your own content, just read it outloud. Not outloud in your head, but FOR REAL outloud. You’ll hear it right away.
And when there are out-of-the-box words, expressions, or sound effects that you want to add because that’s how you talk? ADD THEM IN. That’s what makes your content sound human again!
